One of our most luxurious two-piece pajama sets from the late 1930s! This shimmery beauty is in unworn condition with a bias-cut top and a wide-legged pant. We at Silver Screen Loungerie, are dedicated to offering vintage lingerie items of the highest quality. While we sometimes find an occasional “new/old stock” piece – like this one! - most of our items have been gently worn by just one previous owner. By definition, “vintage” means “old”, and we take great care in restoring the items – as much as possible, to their original beauty.
This luxurious set has the well-known maker’s label, Femicraft, and it is made of a “delicious” blend of silk and rayon! This blending is in a ratio of 5 to 1 – silk to rayon, and the fabric is stronger and more luminous than 100% silk.
This set is in perfect, never worn condition… looking much the same as it did on the day when it was made! There are a few fold lines from long-term storage, but as the fabric is already very-soft, we decided against laundering it. The construction is without peer, and we note the delicate lace in a contrasting colour. This same lace is extended into the cap sleeves, which are slit at the top.
On our 5’ – 11” ‘Gloria’ model, the pant ends at the top of her ankles. The pant waistband measures 24 inches relaxed, and 36 inches stretched. Please be aware that the stated measurements are those of the garment itself. For best fit, your own body measurements should be less.
