We at Silver Screen Loungerie, are committed to offering vintage lingerie items of the highest quality possible. While we sometimes find the occasional “new/old stock” piece, most of our items have been either gently or moderately worn by a previous owner. By definition, “vintage” means “old”, and we take great care in restoring items – as much as possible – to their original beauty.

This Barbizon nightgown appears to be in excellent condition, with no flaws that we could find. The Barbizon label is intact, and describes the fabric as “Satin Dosché”. Satin Dosché is simply Barbizon-speak for their own manufacture of high-quality silk satins. The “official” size is “34”, but the gown measures easily up to 37 inches around the bust.

Note that the bodice is comprised of double fabric layers, both front and back. For greater comfort and longer wear, the inner layer has the satin side against the skin. We show the (included) braided belt in some views, but not in others. We think the gown looks “sleeker” without the belt, but it’s your choice!

Our 5’ – 11” size 33 ‘Gloria’ delights in the beautiful fit and of this gown, and simply did not want to take it off! This “Coppertone VAMP” is as ready to wear as the day it was made, and is fit for a Star – YOU – the Leading Lady of your Life!
